what's been going on

Busy at work lately but it's very good. Another trip to the UK looks to be on the horizon.

Kids and Dar are great. She's awesome, do I mention that enough?

Reading the 3rd Takeshi Kovacs novel from Richard Morgan --this guy's stuff is brilliant. Just finished the sequel to Jumper from Steven Gould, Reflex. Great followup to a very good book, recommend those two to anyone. Also read Blink by Malcolm Gladwell a few weeks ago, that one will get you thinking.

Movies seen recently: Inside Man (pretty damn good), Pan's Labyrinth (good) and the Good Shepard (fascinating, very intelligent).

Fun activity today -- pitching a ball to Cameron with his soft-core padded baseball bat. He drilled quite a few pitches and is getting more confident with his swing. Continues to blaspheme about baseball being better than hockey whenever he gets a chance. He knows it drives me nuts. I was so proud however about two weeks ago when we passed a guy at his day care center in a Detroit Red Wings shirt. I booed the guy a little, saying I hope they lose to the Ducks and then as he was walking away, Cameron told him loudly that Red Wings fans get coal in their stockings for Christmas. Ha ha. That's my boy! He of course speaks the truth, and we've confirmed that our friend John from Michigan actually does get coal in his stocking from Santa in the past few years since he's a Wings fan. Santa likes the Blues. And by the way, let's hope those Blues trade up from #9 in the draft or make a move to acquire a premium center. It's time to add some cash to the young talent we've been working on. They're still a year away or so unless they add a lot more soon.

Played poorly at poker tonight. I've been running cold for a few weeks. I've know I'm not a fish, but I definitely have some donkey blood in my veins. We play a .30/.60 limit game with a kill button if you're ever around and want to join--give me a call.

Looking forward to some serious fishing in a few weeks in Canada...we're going to bag some Northern pike and walleye up near Sault St Marie. I can't wait!

Peace out.
